The descent of ravines, canyoneering or canyoning is the most practiced adventure sport in Huesca. The Pyrenees and the Sierra de Guara offer the best conditions for the practice of canyoning in Huesca.

Canyoning is practiced in narrow river gorges and canyons caved into the stone. We descend those canyons overcoming the obstacles that we find on our way: either hiking, jumping, swimming, rappelling, sliding down, etc. We jump to pools of crystal clear water and glide down slides carved into the rock by water and time. We use ropes to descend by abseiling (rappelling) techniques. Usually we descend wet canyons, but there are also dry ones which can be made in cold and rainy seasons, which is why canyoning can be done all year round in Huesca.
